This 1 day EWP course in Perth is relevant for any person wishing to obtain the nationally recognised High Risk Work licence to operate a Boom Type Elevating Work Platform (WP class). The 1 Day course is ASSESSMENT ONLY and does NOT include any practical training.  Participants need to have sufficient experience operating a boom-type EWP.  We offer free parking on-site.

If you require practical training prior to sitting your driver assessment on the EWP please refer to our 2 Day EWP course.

***Note: Due to changes in WorkSafe's assessment process, there is a MANDATORY pre-reading component (of approximately 1 hour) that needs to be completed before sitting this course.  This can be done either online, or via a PDF workbook. Students who have not completed the necessary pre-course study on arrival for their training, will NOT be permitted entry to the classroom and will need to reschedule to an alternate date, at a cost of 50% of the course fee***     The online pre-reading content is not compatible with all mobile devices (such as mobile phones and tablets).  As such, we recommend that you use a PC or laptop to complete it.‚Äč

The course comprises a written theory assessment (in English), followed by practical assessment. Given that the WorkSafe theory assessment is written English, this course requires candidates to have a strong command of the English language.

Upon successful completion, participants are issued with a temporary paper EWP ticket (valid for 60 days), within which time, participants need to apply to WorkSafe for their nationally recognised photo ID licence and pay an additional fee of $84.

We provide you with a free set of passport photos for your WorkSafe licence application upon completion of your EWP course.

Eligible participants, working in the construction industry can apply for a subsidy of up to $224 of their course fee directly from the Building and Construction Industry Training Fund (BCITF) upon completion of this course.  We can provide you with the application form on the day of your course.
