This 1 day training course is relevant for any person wishing to obtain the Nationally Recognised High Risk Work Licence to operate a forklift (LF class), who has thorough previous experience in operating a forklift.  You must be able to provide evidence of your experience in operating a forklift and are required to have at least 40 hours forklift driving experience in a warehouse-type environment over the last 4 weeks.

No practical driver training is provided as part of this training course.  It is an "assessment only" course.  Participants need to complete a theory test and practical assessment including manoeuvring a forklift through an obstacle course (forwards and in reverse), lifting pallets into pallet racking and lifting various loads into pallet racking at height, without receiving any training.

If you do not have this previous experience, you will need to click on the "Beginners Forklift Training Course" page.

The training course comprises a written theory assessment, followed by a practical assessment. Participants need to have a strong command of the English language in order to complete the written assessment for this course.

***Note: Due to changes in WorkSafe's assessment process, there is a MANDATORY pre-learning component (of approximately 2 hours) which needs to be completed before attending this course.  This can be done either online, or via a PDF workbook.  Students who have not completed the necessary pre-course study on arrival for their training, will NOT be permitted entry to the classroom and will need to reschedule to an alternate date, at a cost of 50% of the course fee.  As soon as you have booked and paid online, you will have access to the online pre-learning***

Upon successful completion, participants are issued with a temporary paper licence (valid for 60 days), within which time, participants need to apply to WorkSafe for their Nationally Recognised High Risk  Licence and pay an additional fee of $100.

We provide you with a FREE set of passport photos for your WorkSafe licence application upon completion of your course.

Eligible participants, working in the construction industry can apply for a subsidy of UP TO 70% of their training course fee directly from the Building and Construction Industry Training Fund (BCITF) upon completion of this course.  We can provide you with the application form on the day of your course.

From 1st January 2015 all Registered Training Organisations (RTO’s) throughout Australia are required to collect Unique Student Identifiers (USI) from persons enrolling in VET training.

A student will require a USI prior to obtaining their Statement of Attainment from the training organisation where they are undertaking study.
