Gas Test Atmospheres Training    




The 4 hour Gas Test Atmospheres Training course prepares participants for all safety and practical aspects of safely working in and monitoring atmospheres within confined spaces and other areas at work sites.

This unit is about testing the working atmosphere to determine if it is safe for the proposed work. Testing involves the use of electronic test apparatus.  BHP requires participants also hold Enter and Work in Confine Spaces  RIIWHS202D in conjunction with this course.

Some of the topics included in this course are, prepare for gas testing, use gas testing equipment and maintain gas testing equipment.

Your certificates and wallet-sized card is issued on the day, upon successful completion of this course.

Eligible participants, working in the construction industry can apply for a subsidy of up to $000 of their course fee directly from the Building and Construction Industry Training Fund (BCITF) upon completion of this course.  We can provide you with the application form on the day of your course.

From 1st January 2015 all Registered Training Organisations (RTO’s) throughout Australia are required to collect Unique Student Identifiers (USI) from persons enrolling in VET training.  

A student will require a USI prior to obtaining their Statement of Attainment from the training organisation where they are undertaking study.

You can create your USI at it only takes 5 minutes. Please bring your USI with you when you attend your training course.

Assessment: Theory and practical assessment at the end of the course.
Qualification: Participants receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment (certificate) Gas Test Atmospheres (MSAPMOHS217A) from the Resources and Infrastructure Industry Training Package
Validity:  ´╗┐No set validity period but most companies require re-certification every 2 years.
Pre-requisites: No Pre-requisites
What to Bring:
1 x form of photo ID  (e.g. Drivers licence, Passport) or 2 x forms of secondary ID (e.g. Medicare, ATM, or Health Care card) and a pen.
Please wear enclosed shoes (i.e. no sandals or thongs) and long pants.
