***Note: This course now has MANDATORY online pre-reading needing to be completed prior to attending your training. This will enable participants to complete both Confined Space Entry and Safe Working at Heights in one day in the classroom, if they wish to***

The 4 hour Safe Working at Heights course prepares participants for all safety and practical aspects of working at height.

From 10th September 2014, this course is now recognised by both BHP and RIO.  No further gap training is required is for BHP.  However, RIO may require that you take additional training online, which can be completed for FREE by clicking here.

Some of the topics included in this course are, planning work requirements, relevant personal protective equipment and practical application of harnesses and lanyards.

Your certificates and Working at Heights Ticket (a wallet-sized card) is issued on the day, upon successful completion of this course.

Eligible participants, working in the construction industry can apply for a subsidy of $116 of their course fee directly from the Building and Construction Industry Training Fund (BCITF) upon completion of this course.  We can provide you with the application form on the day of your course.

From 1st January 2015 all Registered Training Organisations (RTO’s) throughout Australia are required to collect Unique Student Identifiers (USI) from persons enrolling in VET training.  

A student will require a USI prior to obtaining their Statement of Attainment from the training organisation where they are undertaking study.

You can create your USI at http://usi.gov.au/create-your-USI/Pages/default.aspx it only takes 5 minutes. Please bring your USI with you when you attend your training course.

Duration:  4 hours in class - plus mandatory online pre-reading.

Assessment: Theory and practical assessment at the end of the course.
   
Qualification: Participants receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment (certificate) Work Safely at Height (RIIWHS204D) from the Resources and Infrastructure Industry Training Package
   
Validity: No set validity period but most companies require re-certification every 2 years of your Working at Heights Ticket.
   
Pre-requisites: Mandatory online pre-reading to be undertaken before arriving for your scheduled class time.  This must be presented at check-in. 

The online pre-reading content is not compatible with all mobile devices (such as mobile phones and tablets).  As such, we recommend that you use a PC or laptop to complete it.

   
What to Bring:

1 x form of photo ID or 2 x forms of secondary ID (e.g. Medicare, ATM, or Health Care card) and a pen.

Please wear enclosed shoes (i.e. no sandals or thongs) and long pants.
